A while back, I reviewed the Intake RTA by Augvape. A single coil atty with a unique top airflow and deck setup. And it worked like a charm.
Now, we have the dual coil version, and I have very high hopes for this one too.
INTAKE DUAL – SPECIFICATIONS & BOX CONTENTS
INTAKE DUAL – BREAKDOWN
The body of the Intake Dual RTA consists of the usual four parts – The Deck, Chamber, Glass Tank and the Top-cap.
These are nicely machined parts, and all the threads are smooth as silk.
The deck has been designed post-less ( basically the part where the coil is held is hidden away in the base of the deck ). To make sure you get the leg lengths of your coils correct every time, Augvape have kindly included a plastic, er, dongle. just pop your coils in and cut off the excess wire that protrudes below. Easy. As you can see above, the coils sit perfectly in place.
The deck is flanked by two vaguely oval posts which carry the air down from the top of the Intake and hit the coils at a sideways ( slightly below ) direction. Perfect for flavour production. The second image above also shows the hex grub screws used to secure the coils in place. Note – always be careful not to over-tighten ANY hex grub screw. The head where the allen key goes in can easily become worn, and getting them out is nigh on impossible if this happens.
The air enters the Intake through two adjustable cyclops slots ( above left ). In the above right image, you can see where the air posts on the deck slot into the chamber.
Also in the above left picture, you will notice two chunky kidney-shaped fill ports. Love this.
The top cap is lightly faceted for ease of grip. and comes fitted with a black concave delrin drip tip. This is very comfortable on the lips!
On the underside of the top cap can be found an opaque silicone gasket. This ensures an air-tight seal. The top-cap is a bayonet fitting not a threaded one, so it’s just a quarter turn on and off.
The Intake comes fitted with a 4.2ml straight glass, and comes with an extra 5.8ml bubble glass.
INTAKE DUAL – IN USE
So how does it vape?
My first observation was that the airflow is a little restricted. This is obviously down to the airflow tubing running down from the air-slots to the deck. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it may not suit some people.
The second observation was that the air’s passage down these tubes feels a little turbulent.
I know, this all seems a bit negative, but I’m getting to the good stuff!
The flavour is up there with some of the best around. With them dual coils in there, dare I say it, its better than the single coil Intake. And so it should be I suppose.
Also, the drip tip is super comfortable. I really like this.
Oh, and it never seems to leak!

FINAL THOUGHTS
Again, Augvape produce probably the best top airflow tank around at the moment.
First it was the single coil intake. Now the dual coil.
It get’s a lot of things right, and is an easy recommendation.
